Car boot sale comic

As always with any journal or strip comic I do about my family life, this one is inspired by real events.

Thought I'd try out something different with the background, which I think works quite well.

My boys hair is far too blonde in this strip.

Sonic is looking pretty good, aside from a slight repair to the back of his neck and a good scrubbing, he's as good as new!

My word, it's been a while since I've posted anything here...

This week see's the last in a series of strips I've had appear in the Dandy. I'm immeasurably proud to have featured in a comic that, let's face it, is a british institution. It was one of my goals at the beginning of the year to get something published in the pages of the Dandy, after having a coople of pitches knocked back last year, so I'm pretty happy that I've succeeded!

Here's the little chap who's the star of that particular strip, Chronic the Hedgehog.

So if you or your kids are not regular readers of the Dandy, why not pick up a copy this week to see the last of his little adventures.

I'm also currently working on my submission for the next issue of Ink+PAPER as well as beavering away on the first print issue of my Klank! comic which should be available later in the year. There are a couple of other projects I have in the pipeline as well as lookinan overhaul of my website, which keeps getting delayed.

Merry Christmas from Me, Max and Mobile.

Well, it's that time of year again, so I just wanted to say a big thank you to anyone who has stopped by over the last year to read my Livejournal, followed me on twitter or visited my website. A super big thanks to those who have taken the time out to leave comments here, or retweeted any of my tweets, it always means a lot whenever anyone has kind words to say about my scribblings.

Anyway, here's a special christmassy episode of 'Max's Marvellous Mobile Phone', hope you enjoy.

Merry Christmas.

This week sees the launch of the new comic magazine ink+PAPER, edited by the super David O'Connell and featuring lots of UK comic talented types, including Joe Decie, Lizz Lunney, Hugh "Shug" Raine, Timothy Winchester and loads more. I'm happy to say that I've also got a strip in the mag and here's a sneaky peek at 'Bob and the Lighthouse':

Head on over the the ink+PAPER website and check out some of the wonderful work in the magazine and maybe buy a copy.

I'll do a more in-depth post about my strip, once the mags out there and I've seen a copy.

Oh and for no reason whatsoever, here's a few doodles I did of Straw Barry, who appeared briefly before in my guest strip for Carrotty Kid, by the Dandy's very own Andy Fanton.
